• Each shade is unique, embracing the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi - the beauty of imperfection. Hand-applied gold leaf creates a warm, textured glow, with each segment carefully placed to form a one-of-a-kind mosaic. Subtle gaps and fissures are a natural part of this artisanal process, enhancing the character of each piece. If you appreciate handcrafted artistry, you’ll love the ambiance these shades create. However, if you prefer a uniform, mass-produced look, this design may not be the best fit for you. We love the warm light it casts.
• Each wooden lamp is one of a kind, crafted from natural wood that carries its own unique grain patterns and tones. At NOVA, we take pride in our woodworking legacy. Few lighting companies work with real wood due to its natural variations and the skill required to kiln-dry, join, craft the forms, sand and finish. The organic variations are part of the beauty of woodworking, making every piece special. If you prefer a uniform, mass-produced look, real wood may not be the best fit for you, but we love the warmth it offers and the way natural materials make a space feel like home.
